This is an essay I have written a long time ago, and I am willing to share it with you all! Seven Hundred and Thirty Nine words in all! Comments will be appreciated, thanks.

I, as a reader of Animal Farm, strongly believe that yes, Animal Farm must be chosen as the best book of the year in the Children's Educator Magazine, due to its interesting, enjoyable, understandable and well-thought of structure and attributes of the book.

Firstly, readers would find that this book is very educational and teaches about the Russian revolution and the people involved with a very interesting twist; it is written through an allegory which makes the people involved as animals throughout the book, and the idea of Communism as Animal-ism which is pretty funny, and encourages readers to continue the book. It is also educational because it teaches us many morals and lessons, like to think for ourselves and not to follow others blindly. In addition to this, it also encourages young readers to search for words they do not understand, which strengthens their vocabulary, and thus, their English skills.

Secondly, readers would also find that this book is easily understandable, short and to the point. This is excellent because long and tedious books would discourage most readers from completely reading the whole book, and then make them miss out on the knowledge, etc, it provides. It is also written in a fairy tale format, which makes it much easier and enjoyable for readers to understand the Russian revolution, people who were involved in it and the outcome of it.

Also, the book should be chosen for the best book of the year in a children's educator magazine, because it provides many morals, such as not to follow others blindly, but to understand why you are doing it and what for what reason are we doing it, then, if you are satisfied with the answers and reasons, do it. These morals may help many people in their lives, and not allow what happened to the animals that were good, but followed others blindly, such as Boxer, who followed Napoleon blindly, but then got betrayed by him, and was killed by hired horse slaughterers, and to learn from their mistakes and errors.

Plus, it should be chosen for the best book of the year in a children's educator magazine, because it provides all the information in a history book, narrowed down into a fabulous, enjoyable, educational and easily understood novel, which is much more enjoyable than a boring old history book filled with long, boring and tedious pages about the Russian revolution. To me, and I wouldn't be surprised if all the other students and readers agreed with me, a wonderfully enjoyable novel is much more exciting than a boring old history. Even though they have the same information, George Orwell, the author, puts it into an enjoyable way, while a history book, whatever author it may be, usually is put into a very boring bunch of papers filled with information about exciting things in an extremely boring way. Due to this, history teachers no longer need a boring old history textbook about the Russian Revolution, now all they need is Animal Farm, so they learn about the Russian Revolution, while, at the same time, strengthening their vocabulary, which helps them in English.

As a fifth point, I would like to point out that this book is a great book for some light reading. It is tense, full of adventures, mysterious, exciting and amazing and is one of the best books, despite its cover. There's a famous quote I once heard: "Don't Judge a Book By its Cover" and this is one of those books with a boring cover but awesome, amazing and exciting content. And anyways, it is so well thought of, the author must have used up too many ideas on the amazing content of the book, there were no more ideas left upon the cover, so don’t judge this book by the cover, and make it recognised upon books for its amazing content.

Finally, the judges of this best book of the year should make this the best book of the year to make it recognised upon readers, so it will be read a lot more, bringing more knowledge, enjoyment and discovery amongst young, teen or adult readers.

In conclusion, Animal Farm should be chosen for best book of the year in a children's educator magazine because it is educational, enjoyable and an ideal novel for children and adults alike, and should also be chosen due to its interesting, enjoyable, understandable and well-thought of structure and attributes.
