Free Flower and Vegetable Seeds
Growing flowers and vegetables are a joy come spring. What makes it even better. Getting it FREE.
Some of us save seeds from the previous year. Some of us don't. But sooner or later we all need to get seeds for something.
What better way to get the garden you want than to use seeds you got for free.
A couple of these are not totally free. One is super cheap and others may require a shipping fee or require you to enter can codes.
But, for the most part they are all free.
Help Grow Your Soup will give you free tomato seeds when you enter codes from cans of condensed soup. It's from Campbell's.
Tomato Bob has vegetable and flower seeds for 25 cents per pack. It has more than just tomatoes for vegetables. There is also a free download available: Growing Heirloom Tomatoes- Huge Tomatoes vs. Huge Yields.
Free garden seeds This is one that does require you to pay for shipping.
America the Beautiful Fund You need to pay for shipping and fill out a form. This is mostly for community projects, but worth looking into.
Ed Hume Seeds One packet of free seeds to the first 250 people.
Free Seeds for winter sowing You have to send a self addressed stamped envelope to receive your seeds.
Another place to check is freecycle. You never know when someone may have seeds that they don't want.
Here is a site that doesn't give free seeds, but you can get a free gardening ebook.
One thing to also remember is that if you keep your seeds in a cool dry spot they will still grow after the first year you buy them. After a few years they may sprout slower, but they may still sprout.
I hope you can find some good bargains out there.
