Living among the dangerous...
a bio of Bella Swan and other human characters of theTwilight saga
Since the majority of the Twilight story is told by Bella Swan, the reader will get to know her best. She's pale and has brown hair and brown eyes, and is of an average build. She is not really interested in fashion or making an effort to look pretty. Bella is a caring, stubborn, understanding person, who seems to listen more to her heart than her head. Throughout the story she is a magnet for danger- in the known human world, and in the vampire world.
Bella's parents are Charlie Swan and Renee Dwyer. They got married young, and Renee left Charlie for the Southwest. Charlie stayed in Forks, Washington. Bella lived all her life with her mom, visiting Forks in the summers, up until the Twilight story begins.
Renee plans to travel a lot with her new husband Phil who is works in sports, so Bella decides to go live with her dad in Forks. And that's when she meets Edward Cullen. Without the two together there would be no story.
Charlie Swan is a police chief, and has been dedicated to his job for many years. He is close friends with Billy Black and Harry Clearwater, who live on the nearby Quileute reservation.
Bella's human classmates include Jessia, Mike, Eric, Lauren, Ben and Angela. Jessica was the first acquantance she makes, although they drift later in the story. Mike and Eric seem to have romantic interest in Bella, especially when she first moves to Forks. Bella doesn't make any strong connections with any of the people she meets at school.
