A look at some of the top yahoo fantasy football rookies to watch for in 2009.

Every year more and more people are getting involved in fantasy football and yahoo is one of the top dogs in the business. Today we are discuss some of the top rookies to keep an eye on in the upcoming 2009 NFL season. Just keep in mind that rookies should be considered sleeper picks for the most part because there is no way of knowing what to expect of a player their first year in the league.

Knowshon Moreno

Any running back that steps into a Denver Broncos jersey needs to be watched by fantasy football experts. If he can establish himself as the starter and remain healthy then he is probably a pretty safe bet for at least 1,000 yards even as a rookie. You would imagine that the running game will see more action this year with Jay Cutler being traded to Chicago and a more conservative quarterback in Kyle Orton taking over the huddle. He has potential to become one of the top 2009 yahoo fantasy football rookies.

Beanie Wells

This guy was one of the steals of the draft in my opinion. Anytime you can get a 230-pound running back with 4.5 speed coming from a solid program like Ohio State that late in the draft you jump on the opportunity. The Arizona Cardinals done just that and if he can become the starter then 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns is a definite possibility for Beanie Wells. I expect him to be one of the top 2009 yahoo fantasy football rookies.

Michael Crabtree

The guy was rated as the best receiver basically all the way up until the NFL draft and then he fell all of the sudden because of various garbage. The guy was rated as the best receiver and a top 10 talent for a reason. I think he will step onto the field as the number one receiver with the San Francisco 49ers right away and become a factor this year. Count on Michael Crabtree becoming one of the top 2009 yahoo fantasy football rookies.
