Most people believe that we should pay if we want to learn something. While this is true for people living in industrial age, this statement is no longer correct for us who live in information age.

While it is true that most formal certified education will cost us money to take, it is not always true to say that we always need to pay money to learn something new. The truth is we now live in information age, this is an age where almost all information we have in the world could be reached by our fingertips, provided we know how to look for it. In fact, it is even possible for anyone who live in information age to get some money by learning something new.

There are three things that could help you in your quest to earn money and learn something new online:

  • Writing networks such as Bukisa, Triond and Helium
  • Search Engine such as Google
  • Question and Answer forums

By combining the power of all these online application, you can always learn something new and get paid for it.

First, you will have to start by asking yourself what do you want to learn at the moment. As simple as it seems, I understand the fact that most people have difficulty answering this question. In fact, the reason why I know this is because I was such person before. The funny thing is that one possible way to get your answer is by answering people questions. This is where Question and Answer forums play the role.

Question and Answer forums such as Yahoo!Answer have millions of people asking their questions in their network everyday. You may find questions from soft subjects such as dating, friendship, education up to really hard subjects such as science and mathematics. There are so many questions asked there and if you happen to find question that you know the answer for, then that is where your money making opportunity begin. If you don't know the answer but that question interest you anyway, then it is time for you to learn something new and get paid for it.

Second, you will have to do a search about the subject. Look for important words that might aid you to find articles about the subject. If you use Google as your primary search engine, you might end up in Wikipedia. I have to say that Wikipedia is not the end of your journey. You will have to read the article and look for important issues and more keywords that may help you in your search. Write down issues that might interest your readers and ignore the rest, but remember that you may not simply plagiarize the articles.

Third, as you get more keywords from previous articles, repeat doing the search using new keywords to find more information about the topic you are trying to write. Make sure that you don't forget to copy paste important points from different articles in to your Notepad. After you think you already have enough material to form a good article, try to retell whatever you just learned in your own word.

Finally, submit your article to writing network such as Bukisa. This is where your money is going to come from. Bukisa is a site that share their advertisement revenue with their writers. Of course, you will have to market your article as well and that means that you will need to learn how to market your articles. This is going to be your opportunity to practice everything written in this article, you simply have to think about how to learn about marketing your article and get paid for it.
