Second, you should enlist a neutral third person to assist with communication. Thast's right - for the first few meetings, you might even enlist the help of a family law mediator or counselor. After all, its completely natural for both parties to feel upset and hurt or to be overly enthusiastic about the meeting. By enlisting the help of a third person, the mediator can make sure that both people are realistic and express their emotions and thoughts appropriately.

Just remember that a reconciliation can't be rushed and must take time. Therefore, when you meet with your ex spouse, be reserved and work on improving the friendship first.
