A guide for a blood death knight to beat a Discipline Priest

This guide is a short excerpt from http://www.wowtalentspecs.com/Bestblooddeathknightpvpguide.html :

Let me start by saying that I have a lot of experience in world of warcraft and considered myself one of the best in stormstrike until I retired a few months ago. I play every now and then just for kicks but devote most of my time sharing tips and tricks with others. I have played every class at 80 and know probably every trick there is to know. You don't need the best gear, or enchants, and epic gems to win. You just need to be calm, and follow my guide.

As a blood death knight there are some classes you love to see running by themselves, and there are some that you avoid. All death knights hate two things, Shamans and other Death Knights. You probably hate fighting other death knights the most, but after this, maybe you will have a change in heart.

First of all let me recommend a deep blood build with dancing rune weapon and dip into frost for lichborne and annihilation. If you need specific builds, go to my website http://www.wowtalentspecs.com . This guide is based on a build similar to this with rune tap, hysteria, vampiric blood, lichborne, and dancing rune weapon.  You also need to learn to key bind if you are not already. This is a huge help and cuts down on the time your eyes are off the enemy.

I will go through a lot of different scenarios with you. Along the way I will throw in some tips you may have never saw before and some strategies that I know you have never used.

The discipline priest will actually be an easy fight. Pain suppression and other shields will make this a long battle, but mind freeze will lock out holy a lot. Almost every heal should give you a good chance to mind freeze.

You will be in blood presence because the priest has no real cc or snare, and the priest has no way to escape your cc. You only need to use COI when you think the priest will get out of range. If you are bad at keeping melee range, then throw a COI in every now in then.

Your basic tactic will look like this to quickly burst this spec down is:

1) Run to close the gap with a COI to start.

2) Pop lichborne, If you are fighting a priest on his toes and get shackled, Trinket out and cancel lichborne. If you run into this a lot, simply just wait and trinket the fear.

3) Go thru one full rotation backwards I.E. HS,HS,OB,PS,IT. This is because COI took up your frost rune and this will allow you to OB,OB,HS,HS with DRW.

4) After you go thru a backwards rotation, you will pop your DRW macro. Now you already have your diseases up and can OB,OB,HS,HS like mentioned earlier.

5) If you are equally geared, this with a strangulate should finish the fight. Remember that your pet will be attacking also.

If you can execute this you will force flash heals which are not mana efficient and easy to mind freeze. You need to be on guard to mind freeze at any time. You should DC any time you are over 80 RP and get free DC from sudden death.

If this did not finish the fight. Cancel hysteria and heal up with rune tap. Then use your regular rotation with timed mind freezes and end it.

This is a simple and possibly the easiest fight you have except holy priest. You should easily win this one in 20 seconds flat if you are equally geared and use steps 1-5 exactly. You will be cc immune and pushing 2k dps (possibly up to 4k). With a little armor pen rating, you should see some DRW double OB crits for a combined 20k. Sometimes I finish this one the first strike after I hit DRW.

Like any other fight, if the priest tries to run, just COI rotation. Mind freeze is very important on flash heal because there are a lot of procs off of flash heal in the disc tree.

If you follow these steps you will see burst down wins in seconds in arenas and other 1v1 situations.
