Brew great morning coffee in the coffee maker for one person.

Brew great morning coffee in the coffee maker for one person.  Love your morning coffee, but no one else shares the pot with you? Can't stand instant coffee, but hate throwing out the left-overs that you brew in the drip coffee-maker?  My husband is a tea-drinker most of the time, but he developed this proportion to brew me my two cups of coffee in the morning without wasting any. It is delicious.

Things You'll Need

Drip coffee maker

filters

Coffee, preferably Kroger Breakfast Blend

Tap water

Large mug to hold two cups at one time.

Steps

Step One:  Place paper filter in the coffee maker basket....careful that it is not askew or grounds will get into the pot.

Step Two:  Place three tablespoons of coffee in basket. Most scoops that come with coffee are one tablespoon.

Step Three:  Gather some cold tap water in the decanter....fill the coffee maker until the level mark on the side of the machine indicates 4 1/2. Dump rest of water in decanter in sink.

Step Four:  Replace decanter and turn on coffee maker.

Step Five:  As soon as coffee has brewed, pour into a large mug that holds two cups at one time. Do not allow coffee to remain on the warmer plate for very long, or it will become bitter. By pouring it into the mug all at one time it  does not get that scorched taste from just a little bit being in the pot.

I love my coffee sweet and white.....I use 8 teaspoons of sugar and 4 teaspoons of non-dairy creamer in this cup

of coffee! It is what I call a GRANDE! I just do this once a day.
