This recipe is very good for every day use and many people enjoy it.

Pea with green onion and chicken is a very delicious dish prepared in spring and summer. The most important thing is the fresh green onion which is full with vitamins. The recipe serves 4-5 and it is easy for preparing. The time for its preparation is about an hour and a half.

Ingredients:

2 kg peas

5 sticks fresh green onion

1 kg chicken meat pieces

3-4 red tomatoes (or tomato sauce from a can)

Salt to taste

Seasoning (the seasoning depends on your taste and choice)- 1 table spoon

1 bunch of parsley

1 table spoon oil (if you wish, it is not necessary)

Method of preparation:

First you have to clean and wash the chicken pieces very well. In a pot you have to put these meat pieces and cook for about half an hour. Meanwhile chop the fresh green onion finely. Wash and peel the tomatoes if they are not from a can. Chop the parsley and mix it with the tomato sauce. Wash the peas. When the meat is cooked for about an hour it is time to add some salt to taste. Then add the peas and cook for another half an hour. Add the seasoning and continue cooking. If necessary add some water from time to time. After 10 minutes you have to add the finely chopped onion. Stir well. After 5 minutes you have to add the tomato and parsley mixture. Your dish is almost ready but you have to taste it once again to check if there is enough salt. If necessary add some more salt. If you wish you can also add a table spoon oil. You can serve your dish with potato salad or vegetable salad. It is very suitable to serve it with toast bread. Enjoy!
