Best Death Knight Unholy PVE Hybrid Spec 7/18/46

This unholy pve dps hybrid spec is just a variation of  a fun battleground spec that also performs good in raids. This spec has a lot of procs off of auto attacks, a high damage nuke, and good aoe damage. This spec is great for raids and battlegrounds.

Blood

The next death knight unholy / blood pve dps talent you will get is 2/2 butchery. This is not a very strong talent, but it is great compared to your choices. Its either this or blade barrier. This will give you an extra death coil every 100 seconds. This is only a 15dps up with 2 points, but its a filler point so take what you can get.

The next death knight unholy / blood pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 subversion. This is actually a much have for any pve dps spec because of the threat modifier. This is a great talent also because you will be using blood strike to create death runes, and this will give you a few more dps on those blood strikes.

The next death knight unholy / blood pve dps talent you will get is 2/2 two handed specialization. This will increase your damage by a flat amount. This is a great pure dps up and will help with all your strikes except IT.

Frost

The next death knight unholy / frost pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 improved icy touch. Even though this talent has been nerfed, it is still good. I would say this will give you a little less than 1% dps up per point, but it is also a filler point. The debuff is nice in battlegrounds also.

The next death knight unholy / frost pve dps talent you will get is 2/2 runic power mastery. This is a great talent if you find yourself capping rp a lot. This will help you get long rotations in without having to worry about your DC dump. You should invest in the DC glyph in this build also.

The next death knight unholy / frost pve dps talent you will get is 5/5 black ice. This is a pure 9% total dps up. You really cant get any better than this. It ups the damage of your DOTs and you main nuke. This is a newly revised talent and is great for hybrid specs like this one.

The next death knight unholy / frost pve dps talent you will get is 5/5 icy talons. This will increase your auto attack damage which has synergy with a lot of talent in the unholy tree. This will actually increase total damage by about 1.2% per point, which is a little better than average.

The next death knight unholy / frost pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 annihilation. Even though you will not be using OB, this will increase the critical strike of all of your specials. You will see an overall dps increase of a little less than 1%, but this is well worth it.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 2/2 vicious strikes. This increases the damage of your main nuke and will also increase plague strike, which actually hits for a nice amount now. This is a great first tier talent and a must for every unholy spec.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 virulence. This is a good pvp talent and will lower the need for 9% hit in pve. This will make it so 200 hit rating will suffice and you can spend the extra few gems in crit.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 2/2 epidemic. This spell is really nice because you now have a 21 second disease. This will allow you to get 2 full rotations in before having to reapply diseases. This will give you some playing room for some really abstract rotations.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 morbidity. This will help you if you need to off tank a 5 man, and it will help the death coil damage. You should get the glyph of death coil and enjoy the large numbers.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 ravenous dead. Your ghoul will be a big portion of your dps and this will help it survive and do a little more damage. This should be a small dps up for your personal dps also because of the strength.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 outbreak. This is a great talent and the new advantage of it affecting SS. This is a must have talent for every unholy spec. This will give you a 2% dps increase per point on average.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 5/5 necrosis. This talent really isn't a great pvp talent, but in pve it adds up well when matched with icy talons. This will actually be 5% or more of your total dps.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 blood caked blade. This talent will proc often and procs hard. I have seen crits in the 2k range. This is a great dps talent and you should be getting a little more than 1.4% dps up per point with a good 2 hander.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 2/2  night of the dead. The decrease to the ghoul and master of ghouls will give you a 30second instant pet summon. This will really come in handy in raids and really any situation. Get the corpse dust glyph.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 5/5 impurity. This is a good talent even though it gives no boost to your nuke. Your death coils and your diseases will hit for a lot harder with this on.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 1/1 master of ghouls. This gives you a perma-pet and gives you a stun. You can just this stun on healers, runners, really anything. Leap is also nice to keep healers unable to drink. This is a must have holy spell.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 5/5 desecration. This is a great snare and will help you finish those druids. This is also great for kiting when paired with a paladin. I actually love this spell and think it is a must have for any pvp or pve build.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 1/1 ghoul frenzy. I'm still running the numbers and of this spell and compare it to one UH rune, but so far it looks good. At 25% haste for 30 seconds you will be doing 300dps x 25%= 75dps extra for 30 sec= 2250 damage with one UH rune and scales better than that math. This is not counting the heal.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 crypt fever. I have saw some of my dots tick for upwards of 600 before. This will help you get to the lock in plate status.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 1/1 bone shield. The ever talked about and nerfed 5 times and still rolling bone shield. Pick up the glyph and have a good 6 charges with this. Your damage buff for one point is worth it in pve.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 3/3 ebon plague bringer. This increases SS, DC, and anything that does spell damage. This is a great pvp and pve tool.

The next death knight unholy pve dps talent you will get is 1/1 scourge strike. The damage has actually increased from what it used to be. This is still a very viable nuke for any UH build.
