The six main styles of font that all of the different kinds of font in the world derive from.

1.) Oldstyle

- This font is a very everyday font and can be use for anything from essays to advertisements.  This font is also used on many store products as well as a font selection in a cell phone.

2.) Traditional

- This font is also used quite often for many things such as cell phone text or for writing a more proper looking essay.  This font has a slightly more sophisticated look to it, so it would work well on a resume or possibly a thesis paper.

3.) Modern

- This text makes me think of an upscale restaurant.  I see the font being used for the name of the restaurant. Also I think this font can be used for band names and albums on posters and CDs depending on genre.

4.) Slab Serif

- This font is also pretty basic and can be seen as a font choice in cell phones and other electronics.  This font can also be used for an essay and newspaper and magazine articles.

5.) Sans Serif

- This font is used for many types of advertisements because it is a very basic font and it is very easy to read.  Also this font can be used for magazine and newspaper articles.

6.) Decorative

- I can picture this font being used as text for wedding cards.  This font also makes me think Rome and Greece, so this could be used on a Latin text book.

7.) Script-Cursive

- This font can be seen being used for spas as well as hair and nail salons. These companies use this font for their company logo on the building and on their business cards.  This type of font would seem to attract more females than males since they are used for more feminine businesses.
