Is Global Warming Really Happening?

Is our beautiful planet really getting warmer? Are we in danger? Maybe we are on the verge of an ice age!

It is no secret that many out there believe our planet is going through a large transition.  With the increased use of coal burning plants and gasoline, we are producing more and more pollution that is destroying our environment, and our ozone layer.  This protective layer is now allowing more sunlight to enter through our atmosphere, causing the surface temperature of the Earth to go up.  The worst case scenario is that the ice caps melt, and most of the Earth end up being covered by water.  I do not know about you, but I have seen Waterworld, and I do not want to live like Kevin Costner lived in that movie.

However, I read today that there are some scientists out there that now fear we have a miniature ice age coming.  Apparently, the sun can actually dim at times, and this could drastically reduce the temperature on Earth.

The real question here is who do you believe?  I know that last year in the southeastern part of the US, we had a pretty severe drought, and it was very hot.  However this year, we have had very nice weather, a decent amount of rain, and my grass is not brown!  I do not have the answer whether or not we need to worry about global warming, but I would love to hear your opinion.  Please let me know what you think by commenting on this article.  At least if anything, that will raise awareness of the potential problem and give everyone an argument on both sides.  Here is a link of the article I read.

I think we're all in trouble if we can't learn to control ourselves and take better care of this planet.
