Meditation Music to Download FREE

Meditation is good for the soul as is music.  No matter which type of meditation you prefer, most often, music provides the background for a meditation session.  Much of the music that is created for meditation or massage is done so with great care given to the tonal quality and melodic atmosphere that compliments the quietness or reflectiveness of most meditation types used to enhance your health and spirit.

Here's some great resources for meditation music to add to your library.

• At music.downloads.com, click on the New Age category to find their selections for meditation, inspiration and healing.  Some of the contributing artists list several of their instrumental pieces, many that are 5-10 min. long. This is a great way to add continuity to your music play lists, especially when meditation or massage sessions are lasting 45 minutes or more.  For more available music, check the World music category as well.
• At mp3.com there's a nice selection of free music also listed under their New Age category.  Sorted by artist, and available to preview before you download.  Check out Mystic Temple by Alice Gomez. Shirley Cason, a New Age keyboardist has several beautiful pieces of relaxing music and piano solos in mp3 format for free download.  These are some of my favorites, and will probably soon be yours too!
• InvincibleMusic.com has Healing Hawaiian Goddess Music Download Samples (2 to 3 minutes each) which speak to the beauty of their origin.  Check out Prayer of St. Francis or One In The Goddess.  These are short, but perfect for Reiki or Yoga positions.
