How to win Blood Death Knight Vs. Demonology Warlock

Let me start by saying that I have a lot of experience in world of warcraft and considered myself one of the best in stormstrike until I retired a few months ago. I play every now and then just for kicks but devote most of my time sharing tips and tricks with others. I have played every class at 80 and know probably every trick there is to know. You don't need the best gear, or enchants, and epic gems to win. You just need to be calm, and follow my guide.

As a blood death knight there are some classes you love to see running by themselves, and there are some that you avoid. All death knights hate two things, Shamans and other Death Knights. You probably hate fighting other death knights the most, but after this, maybe you will have a change in heart.

First of all let me recommend a deep blood build with dancing rune weapon and dip into frost for lichborne and annihilation. This guide is based on a build similar to this with rune tap, hysteria, vampiric blood, lichborne, and dancing rune weapon.  You also need to learn to key bind if you are not already. This is a huge help and cuts down on the time your eyes are off the enemy.

I will go through a lot of different scenarios with you. Along the way I will throw in some tips you may have never saw before and some strategies that I know you have never used.

A demonology warlock really only has one thing that you will need to watch for, this is metamorphosis. When a warlock hits this he has a ton more armor and hits very hard. He also keeps his pet now. The trick is to get a lot of damage in before he can hit this.

I start this battle in unholy presence. You want to get this fight going fast, so death grip the lock and pop your DRW macro. Now use your silence. When you silence him; OB,OB,HS,HS. By using this rotation, you open up a 6x HS combo next time your runes come up.

After you open up with OB,OB,HS,HS; blow your AMS. This will keep some DOTs off of you and help you with the hellfire and shadowbolt.

AMS should wear off about the same time your runes come back up. You now need to blow lichborne to resist the fear.

While you are waiting for your runes after you hit DRW, you can throw MOB on the doomguard. This will shut the pet down and heal you up. If you need an extra heal, don't be afraid to pop rune tap any time you are below 75%.

Right as your Death runes start coming up, start your 6xHS combo. If you have the DRW glyph, DRW will still be up and you will get some huge numbers. This will finish the pet even if DRW is not up. You should get close to finishing the lock if you can land this combo and the combo before.

After you are finished with this combo. Go back to your regular IT,PS,OB,HS,HS combo.

In this fight you want to make sure you stop the kite by using your 5 second COI rotation if needed.

You also want to make sure you time your mind freeze for shadow bolts. This is a key in this fight because you really want to make sure you lock him out of the shadow tree.

A demonology warlock should be a pretty easy fight for you even after the morph. You need to get some initial burst on him, and make sure MOB is on his pet fast. Silence and AMS at the start will keep dots off of you for 10 seconds and keep fear from hitting you. After that lichborne will keep you fear free for your 6xHS rotation.

If you jump on this one quick you won't even have to rune tap. This strat has worked for me 95% of the time and i usually kill the lock in the middle of the 6xHS rotation.
