Iphone Coming To Verizon?

Recently there have been rumors flying around about Apple being in talks with Verizon about brining the iphone onto there network. Verizon was who Apple apparently originally brought the Iphone to when they were looking for a carrier. Verizon, (Unfortunately for themselves)  could not come to an agreement with Apple, rumors say it was about the visual voice mail feature of the iphone which would have required some work on Verizon's end which they would not agree to and the rest is history, the Iphone went over to At&t which is now milking it for every dollar and scoring huge off of it.

While Verizon is trying hard to work out a deal to get the number one smart phone on the market, the iphoen onto their network At&t on the other side is working hard to try and extend there deal with Apple for exclusive rights for the selling for the iphone. What is Apple going to do? Would they make more money with a private contract with At&t or would they benefit from expanding the Iphone to other networks?

For getting the Iphone started off it may have made sense for Apple to limit it to one network with an exclusive deal to make some initial money off the product. Now that the iphone has taken off like a rocket ship like the ipod had after it initially came out Apple is going to be looking at taking over the smart phone market share. Apple controls the mp3 player market by all odds, no other player even comes close when you look at the percent market share Apple controls with the ipod. Apple will not be able to control the market share in the smart phone business by just staying exclusively with At&t.

Brining the Iphone to Verizon would be the next smart move for  Apple in trying to capture market share with smart phones. One option of Apple could use to please At&t and bring the Iphone over to Verizon is if they release a new phone. If apple in June release a new iphone at the developers confrence they could release the new phone on At&t and bring the original Iphone to Verizon.

I already see Iphones all over the place, and can't imagine how much Apple's percent of smart phone swould grow if they brought the Iphone over to Verizon. It would bring more peopel to the Iphone whcih means even more people downloadign applications. Its amazing how Apple not only got the mp3 player right but now also the phone.
