At the tender age of 4 Andre had to deal with his father and mother with divorce, and when Andre was in his mid to late 20’s his father later committed suicide.  While growing up Andre lived with his mother and grandmother, and when he was old enough to move on and get on with his life Andre left and got married and took on a number of adventure type trips where the opportunity to tell more stories became more and more opportunistic.

Within the life span of Andre’s career it all began when he was a student who took up his studies learning the lifestyle of the Asian community and their language where he suddenly became a major contributor to the culture and founded the newspaper Indochina in Chains.  After serving some time in Asia Andre later made his way back to France where he finished his first novel “The Temptation of the West,” two years later he finished his 2nd novel “The Royal Way.”

Continuing on with his expeditions Andre followed his heart in doing what he felt to be right and later became militant and joined the French Army where he served his country during World War II.  While serving Andre was appointed a number of positions based upon his education and his ability to understand and speak to the opposing forces at large.  Taking on the responsibility of serving his country to the fullest, Andre never lost site of his ability to write novels and books on various subjects and sources that was considered meaningful to the cause.  Come November 23, 1976 Andre died, and even though his body was gone and buried 6 feet deep, his mind and thoughts will continue to inspire those who have the same beliefs in which he believed in as it was all poured out on paper and in the books he wrote.  Andre Malraux, the author, adventurer and stand up soldier who took the time to understand and make his mark in French politics to shape the culture in which his country stands for, he can be considered as one of France’s true heroes of all time.
