Why the premier league is the most lucrative football league in the world
Premier league is in a class of its own. There's no doubt about it.
If you go through the Italian league or the Spanish league ‘la liga’, and then you come back and watch live matches of English Premier League, you would feel the difference. It’s difficult to point out the exact difference, but English Premier League games are much more exciting.
Nothing should be taken away from those Serie’ A Italian League, or the Spanish Primera liga. In fact, the qualities of both Italian and Spanish leagues are at par with the English Premier league, but still there’s an aura about English Premier League matches.
Premier League had been marketed in a defined manner, and that’s probably the reason why Premier league is the most lucrative football league in the world.
If you look at the football league in England, soccer has suffered in Britain more than anywhere else. The reason is unruly club fans. The fans had done more harm to the state of affairs of football in England; there was a Belgium stadium collapse in a game that involved Liverpool in the mid 80’s. More than 130 people got killed in a FA game in England in and around the same time.
English football clubs were banned from participating in the European club matches. That was the time English premier league was formed.
It was in 1992 when the inaugural match of premier league took place. From there on, the English premier league had progressed leaps and bounds, to reach the stage where it is now.
English premier league is being touted as the most lucrative football league in the world.
Why media has promoted English premier league
The remarkable aspect of English premier league is the concept of shareholders. All the twenty members of Premier league in England hold shares in the league. The league is thoroughly professional, and that’s one reason why sponsors are willing to come forward and support. Sponsors believe in the working system of the League.
If you are organized, the system follows a pattern. English premier league is able to rope in players of high caliber, and even players are willing to play and be a part of the system that takes care of every aspect of professional football. If you have highly skilled players and money at the same place, then media follows you.
That’s what media has done to English premier league. Bold headings in the newspaper, television coverage, magazine reviews had just made crowds crazy about English premier league.
People had begun flocking stadiums to watch league games all across England. There are billions of world wide television viewers scampering to have a glimpse of their favorite stars. Premier league gets a huge chunk out of television revenues.
Why not, if the league has players the crowds would love to follow them, and if you have crowds going crazy, then sponsors won’t be standing far. That’s the reason premier league is the most lucrative football league in the world.

Hi bsideofsoccer, your opinion could turn out to be true in the coming years. That's how soccer is headed for. Thanks for your comments.
Thanks for your comment, fnima.
First in the world league "- the English Premier League, when it will become the whole of England, and the world of football and the beginning of the root causes of defeat.
In Italy since 4 years later was the same things, but the most part of the teams ask hundred (and also thousands) milion of loans (Parma,Lazio,Roma,Fiorentina etc..), as English teams now. This teams thought to paid this loans with Tv incoming, but instead went in bankrupt. With a chain reaction also Tv gave less money and after the big teams as Juventus, Milan and Inter couldn't spent as before. Now in Italy the law, after this collapse, limited expenses of the teams. In England from 2010 will be pay only 1/3 of the Tv incoming respect now, for the explosion of streaming. Also if England team has a good marketing, in next 2-3 years will risk to go in bankrupt (Liverpool for example right now!). The evil turns!
