Nobody else can make you happy, or sad, just you. 10 Simple points on how to find your Bliss.

1.  Understand that nobody has any power over you to make you sad or happy.  They can cause you physical pain or pleasure, but happiness is internal, it exists in your mind and nobody can make up your mind except you.

2.  With that in mind, do not look for another person to make you happy, do not say to yourself "I need a boyfriend", or "I need a girlfriend".  You need only yourself to be complete and happy.  You can "want" one, but they cannot and will not make you happy.

3.  Do not find comfort in being sad.  Many people enjoy telling others of their woes, they enjoy the pity, they enjoy feeling sorry for themself.  If you find you are one of these people, you have told yourself you do not want to be happy, so stop it.

4.  If something is depressing you, like watching the News on Television, stop doing it.  The news will happen no matter if you watch it or not, but if it eats away at your mental well being, then why watch it?

5.  Sunshine, and exposure to natural sunlight has a profound effect on our state of mind, if you are not getting enough sunlight find ways to increase this.  Open your windows, get up earlier, or find a lightbulb that simulates natural daylight.

6.  Do not feed yourself with doubt.  If you try something and fail, oh well, do not dwell on the failure.  If you try something and succeed, feel good about it.  Do not be scared to try something, if you tell yourself you will fail, you probably will, so tell yourself you will succeed.

7.  Do not resent other people being happy or doing well.  If a person makes more money than you, for example, it has no impact on you directly.  If a co-worker gets a raise or promotion, and you do not, it does not have any impact on you.  Their success did not hurt you in any way.

8.  Appreciate what you have.  All too often we dwell on what we do not have, and forget what we do have.  This can be as simple as health, or as big as a house, it can be your pet, your friend, or your new houseplant.  Appreciate that chances are you have more than some people in poorer parts of the world.  You are lucky.

9.  Do not blame anyone for "doing" anything to you.  Stuff happens, how you let it affect you is your control only.

10.  Remember that every new day brings new possibilities.  Just because you had a bad week, does not mean the new week will be bad.  Clean your head to new thoughts, if you think it will be bad, it will, so switch to thinking it will be good, and it will.

Be Happy, and good things will be drawn to you like Magnets.
