Mammals are warm blooded, have mammary gland and have hair. A great diversity of mammals can be seen. Mammals ranges in size from shrews which weights a few grams to blue whale which weights up to136,400 kg

Mammals are warm blooded, have mammary gland and have hair. A great diversity of mammals can be seen. Mammals ranges in size from shrews which weights a few grams to blue whale which weights up to136,400 kg.    Some strange mammals found in earth are as follows:

 BLUE WHALE- Biggest mammal. It grow as long as 34 m and weights up to136,400 kg. It is also the biggest creature that ever lived. Blue whale has a slim outline, especially in the winter and  it fattens in the summer. 

AFRICAN ELEPHANT- Biggest land mammal. It  grow up to 25 feet long, stand up to 11 feet tall and weigh up to 14,000 pounds. African elephant have unique body parts and social behavior. The average life span of an is around 60 years. 

GIRAFFE- Tallest mammal. Giraffe can reach upto a height 18 feet and have long necks which they use to browse tree leaves.. They have anchor muscles that hold the neck upright. 

PYGMY SHREW-  Smallest mammal. Its average weight is about 3.5 grams. Pigmy shrew die of starvation if it stops eating for even half a day. 

KANGAROO- Longest jumping mammals. Kangaroos can jump as far as 12 meters or 40 feet. It can sustain a speed of 40 km/h hour or 25 mph for nearly two km..The kangaroo pouch pocket provides a place of shelter for the young after they are born. 

SLOTH- Slowest moving mammal. It moves about half a mile, a day.They sleep, eat, mate, give birth, and tend their young suspended over the ground. 

BAT- Flying mammal. The only mammals naturally capable of sustained flight.Bats are most active at night and sleep during the day and they nourish their young ones with milk.
