Our brand new Skull and Crossbones custom t-shirt !!!

This is our brand new Skull and crossbones t-shirt. We really like skulls and skeletons on our t-shirts and that is why we chose this design. We tried and gave it some modern look though so it wont be boring.

This kind of t-shirt never get old! In fact skull and crossbones design has been around for many many years. It started as a flag. The flag was flown to frighten pirates' victims into surrendering without a fight, since it conveyed the message that the attackers were outlaws who would not consider themselves bound by the usual rules of engagement and might, therefore, slaughter those they defeated. I bet they did ... !!!

Today, the skull and crossbones is still the only standard symbol for poison. Apart from its negative marketing effect on environmentally conscious consumers, it may actually attract children due to its association with pirates, a popular toy and play theme.

The symbol and numerous variations of it, has also been associated with rock/metal music. Bands around the world use the symbol as a logo on their promotional material like the Guns & Roses Skull and crossed guns logo and even on their album covers, like the Cypress Hill's Skull & Bone album released on 2000.

The symbol is a trend in fashion as well and it has been getting bigger, with stars such as Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman sporting it. Ever since the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films became a big hit, the skull and crossbones look is now used not only on clothes, but on accessories for women and men, and is popular on baby clothes, dog clothes and even housewares.

That was some info and history found on the net.
