Are you trying to conceive? Been trying for months, even years? Considering dangerous tests, procedures, surgeries? Read this first, try these tips to naturally boost your fertility. While this may not work for every couple, it is definitely worth a try before moving on to dangerous drugs and procedures.

Take your folic acid. If you are trying to conceive, chances are you are already doing this, if not, start doing this now. By the time you find out you are pregnant, the baby could have been benefiting for weeks from this supplement. It is actually ideal for all women to take folic acid every day, whether they are trying to conceive or not. Folic acid is a B vitamin. It helps to prevent many birth defects, such as neural tube defects. The only way to get the full benefits of it are to start taking it at least 2 months before conceiving. Folic acid also helps in the production of normal red blood cells.

Limit your caffeine intake. Drinking a large amount of caffeine daily can lower your chances of conceiving. Limit yourself to 300mg or less of caffeine a day. This is equal to about 2-3 cups of coffee, but that doesn't mean push your limits. The less caffeine you drink, the better.

Stay at a healthy weight. Being overweight or overweight can affect your fertility, namely, affect your ovulation. Staying at a healthy weight is best for you, and best for your baby-to-be. This does not mean that if you are overweight, you should go on a fad diet, and if you are underweight, start eating everything in sight. Eating a balanced, healthy diet will bring you to your ideal weight no matter where you are. Ignore all the bold letters screaming out from foods such as "Fat Free!" or "Low Carb". You should be eating as little processed food as possible. You will never see an orange with some enticing saying on it. But oranges are healthy. Go for whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, nuts, etc.. Organic is great if it is something you can afford. Make your diet more varied, try not to stick to just one food group. And don't be a couch potato. Get up and move. You do not have to be out doing strenuous exercise every day, but stay active. As a side note, doing too much strenuous activity can also affect your ovulation, and delay periods.
