Softlips Goes To The Tropics With New Summer Flavors (And a Few Unusual Ways to Use Lip Balm)

Softlips, the lip balm company, has launched its new summer flavors line, inspired by the tropics. Come away to the islands! There are also a few different ways to use lip balm.

I recently "vacationed" on a lovely tropical isle, and all without leaving home, thanks to Softlips' new summer flavors-Coconut Cream, Peach Mango, Pina Colada, and Passion Fruit (limited editions).

I first acquired the Coconut Cream and Peach Mango. WOW! These two flavors exceeded my expectations. The Coconut Cream felt like I had eaten a slice of coconut cream pie, while the peach mango conveyed a sense of eating a REALLY GOOD peach or sipping an intense peach-flavored drink (These are already two of my Softlips favorites. The smell alone is absolutely enticing!).

You can buy each summer flavor by itself, or paired with a complimentary Softlips classic lip balm.
Thus we have:

Coconut Cream with Cherry
Peach Mango with Vanilla
(Vanilla's another of my personal favorites)
Pina Colada with Strawberry (Strawberry's another favorite of mine)
Passion Fruit with Cherry

And of course, the new flavors (like the classic ones) have SPF-20 sunscreen protection and have the same great moisturizing properties as all of Softlips' other flavors.

Throughout the summer season, the Coconut Cream and Peach Mango limited editions will be available at Target (starting in May); the Pina Colada and Passion Fruit will be available at Walgreens (starting in June).

The retail price is $2.99 for one, and $3.99 for the pairs package.

It's well worth it. And since these are limited editions, I'm stocking up!

Did you know that there are other non-traditional ways to use Softlips lip balm? Let's look at a few, shall we?

You can rub this on paper cuts; it'll stop the pain immediately and will heal the cut. If you have a shaving cut, this will also stop the bleeding.

Softlips can also be used to relieve cracked and dry cuticles.

A leaky bolt in the showerhead? Remove the bolt. Apply the lip balm and put the showerhead back together. No more leaks!

Rub a little lip balm on foot corns to soften them and ease any pain.

Softlips can be used to: PREVENT WINDBURN-The next time you go snow skiing, try rubbing the lip balm on your face before you hit the slopes. The lip balm will protect your skin from windburn. No more ski masks! And your entire face will smell fantastic, especially if you use the Coconut Cream and Peach Mango! But why stop at just these two? Softlips has a wide variety of flavors; try several.

A stuck ring on your finger can be removed using lip balm. "Wild" eyebrows, unruly mustaches, or other wild hairs can be groomed and set in place.

You can lubricate a stuck zipper.

Rub Softlips over nails and screws being drilled or pounded into wood. They'll slide in easier.

Keep outdoor lightbulbs from sticking. Before screwing a lightbulb into an outdoor socket, coat the threads on the bulb with the lip balm.

Apply Softlips to the tracks of drawers and windows, or to the ridges on a medicine cabinet. You'll have easier opening and shutting.
