Everyone wants a domain name that is not only cool, but easy to remember. Here is how to choose the perfect domain name.A good name not only makes your site inviting, but easy to find!

(1) Relatively short, and easy to remember.
This is important for several reasons.A short name fits into logos,Adword ads,and is easier to remember.Your Domain name is the doorway to your website.Your number one goal is to choose a domain name that is realtively short,is inviting, encouraging visitors to return, that will not only entice them, but bolsters your online success!

(Step2) Use Brand Name.
You don't need a keyword rich domain to rank well on on search engines. The brand name can be useful when you want the visitors to remember your name.Your domain name should describe the goods or services that you offer.Choose a unique brand name only if you are willing to invest the capital and time to promote brand awareness.
Google is great!

(Step3) Get a .Com.
When many people think of a website, they think whatever.com.It is easier to remember, and will help generate more traffic to your site.Choose a domain name that is easily readable.Avoid acronyms, initials, and abbreviations. They make your domain name too cryptic.Use two words(Preferably key words as they excite search engines!)Always choose Dot.com as a top level domain.Surfers will consistently type Dot.com in their browser before and other TLD.

(Step4) Plurals and Singulars.
People may not even remember if your domain name is a plural,or singular.Hyphens and numbers will only lead to confusion.Buy the name first, then develop your site.

  1. Establishing your identity is a function of site development so you need your identity first. You can take advantage of NameSeek's free domain parking as you develop.
  2. If there is a singular and a plural version of your name, get both. Also go for common misspellings; don't lose plurals and misspellings to your competition. You can have many domain names that all refresh visitors to one site.
  3. Avoid profanity in your domain name even if you seek an adult site. Some search engines may decide to ban a purely tasteless or vulgar name but profanity is also tacky and unprofessional.

(Step5)

Avoid all trademarked names.
Domain names communicate your brand,so it is ok to take your time to think of something clever, catchy, yet professional.

Your domain name should match the business you are in which should match your site name.
