We are all looking for ways to make our money go farther. You can use distilled white vinegar for so many uses around your home and in your laundry. Not only will you be able to save money by not using expensive and unhealthy commercial products, but you can also make your clothes last longer. Try this inexpensive and versitle laundry helper. It will save you a lot of money and trips to the grocery store, and also be safer for your family and the environment.

INGREDIENT:

Distilled White Vinegar

FABRIC SOFTENER:

Add a cup of distilled white vinegar to your washer's rinse cycle. This will eliminate static cling, remove the soap residue in your clothes, soften the laundry, and make the towels more absorbent.

NOTE: For a naturally scented fabric softener, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil (found in health food stores) to the vinegar.

LAUNDRY BOOSTER:

Add a cup of distilled white vinegar to your washer's rinse cycle for a frugal laundry booster. This will whiten your whites, brighten your colors, eliminate static cling, remove lint, prevent the dye in new clothing from running, kill bacteria, remove soap residue from fabric and your washing machine, soften your laundry, and neutralize any odors. How could you ask for more from just one product?

DYE SETTER:

To set the color in new clothes, soak the garment in a mixture of 1/2 white distilled vinegar and 1/2 water. Soak for a few hours to overnight. This is especially important for dark colored, 100% cotton clothes. This helps to prevent those bright and dark colors from running in your laundry and fading. Those clothes will last so much longer since you won't be throwing away those faded clothes so fast.
