Liposuction for a New Look
Many people are unhappy with the looks of there body seeking a quick solution to a slimmer look without the time and anguish of exercise and diet. This is why many people resort to Liposuction.
A quick resolution avoiding diet and exercise!
Liposuction offers people a quick solution to a slimmer look who see flaws in their physical appearance without the effort of exerting the sweat and time dieting and exercising requires. Although, liposuction patients must realize that liposuction is very costly and after one under goes a liposuction procedure diet and exercise is necessary to avoid regaining those unwanted fat cells. Many liposuction patients have seen great results while other post procedure patients are still disgusted with their appearance and undergo more liposuction until their physical appearance goal has been meet.
Liposuction defined
Liposuction is a simple out-patient procedure where the patient is normally sedated by a local anesthesia technique called the tumescent. The tumescent technique has been determined the safest form of sedation using a highly diluted local anesthesia injected into the targeted area fat cells causing the injected area to become swollen and numb. This technique normally does not require post narcotic medication due to the long lasting effect of the anesthesia. Once the patient has been sedated the surgeon begins to make several small incisions around the outlined targeted area for insertion of a stainless steel hollow tub called a Cannula which is attached to a long clear plastic tube connected to a high powered vacuum. The Cannula is inserting into the small incisions and thrust in an inward outward motion removing the unwanted fat cells. After all the fat cells have been removed their maybe small layers of excess skin remaining which is folded doubled over, tucked and then sown. The post operation results can be a surprising change in body tone once revealed after several days of healing. Liposuction has been a successful procedure for many although, the results may be only temporary without adding a proper diet and exercise routine.
Liposuction is not recommended for everyone
Liposuction however is not recommended for everyone especially those who suffer from obesity a genetically linked disease limiting those with obesity to very few options of weight lose. Millions of men, women and children have the obesity gene which gives the person an empty stomach feeling even after a full meal. Exercise and diet usually turns out being a free fall for most who are obese sending them into a constant eating splurge and a deep depression. However, there is now a new alternative procedure for those stricken with obesity called gastroplasty which is a fairly simple procedure consisting of permanently shrinking the stomach causing the person to consume less meal portions and feel full.
Choosing a surgeonThe first thing to look for is a reputable well skilled liposuction surgeon that is properly licensed, who ethically expresses attention to detail for the patients questions, concerns and goals. A knowledgeable surgeon will be able to answer any and all questions, have literature available and have a reference list of former patients that can be contacted for questions. A clean sterile medical center is also an important thing to look for when in search of a surgeon. A good surgeon will warn against excessive liposuction during one procedure. A liposuction surgeons reputation says a thousand words !
