The Backside Of Nigeria Government
The world today has become a piece of land where the poor and underprivilege are denied the right to own a place of chelter owing to their lives status which has been made to remain so by the selfish acts of politicians who have refused to put the people first. However, let us go to Nigeria for more facts.
Nigeria is a country located in west Africa that has been considered reach in natural resources most especially the crude oil, this has also imposed the most flattering title "The Africa's Big Brother" on the country and highly respected for this by her fellow African countries. Settling conflicts between countries is what the country find pleasure in doing consiidering her high economical position in the Africa continet and her military strength that is already at its peak. Hovever, the internal political standard of the country has been something every citizen of the country frouns at, and the backside of her government can best be discribed as horrible.
Truely, the political leadership arrangment of the country is what that has been planed to favour only the leaders and to render the populance great sense of want and huge amount of surffering. Nigeria has been a country where electric power can not be visible for just a day despite the large profits of every day from the sales of her abondant crude oil and the farm produce. You can imagine a situation where looting of public funds by politicians has been a daily news in a country while vital awarded cantracts surffers completion.
Noticeably, one of most affecting problem treathingning to remove the country's head from her neck is that of militancy and resource control rising from the oil producing region of the country called the "Niger Delta Region" which is also responsible for about 80% of the country's general incomes. The refusal of the federal government of the country to comply with the demands of the inhabitants of the region on the issue of resource control can be held responsible for the introduction of the overwhelming case of militancy leading to the kidnaping and hostage taking of expatriates of oil companies in the region for a ransum from the government. The strugle for political power and office and the issue of resource control is one factor that has really led to the regretful acts of assassination of prominent political leaders in the Niger Delta Region. Noticeable among others includes: Sir A.K Dikibo (Formal National Chairman, People's Democratic Party PDP,1997-2005), Chief Mashal Harry (formal gubernatorial candidate and leader of the All Nigerian People's party ANPP, 2005) and other great political leaders with reliable development plans for the Niger Delta Region.
However, it has been considered and accepted that Nigeria is a country made up of two countries with a vivid border demarcating the both. These are:
1) The Northern Region, commonly known as the "Hausas" due to the language the speak called "Hausa". The Western Region, commonly known as the "Yorubas" because they speak the language called "Yoruba" and the Eastern Region commonly known as the "Ibos" because they speak the language called "Ibo" and these three regions has been considered to have made up the country Nigeria and it can also be comfirmed on the country's currency the naira which has these three languages writen on it. 2) The South-South Region which has over one hundred languages including the Ijaws, the Isekiri, the Urhobos, the Ogonis and more to be mentioned, all these have been said to have made up the Niger Delta which also said to be a country of in Nigeria considering the vast land it occupied on the country's map.
Conclusively, the one million question on every Nigerian lips is, can the issue of militancy and other form political quagmire such as the high level of corruption in the country be totally resolved? Well, since the matter has become a growing mountain that can only be cracked down by God, the settlement of it is better left on the table of the almighty God.
