Spring is the season that reminds us of the perfect cycles of Nature and all of Creation, as new life sprouts up all around after the long winter's rest. So many lessons abound, as we look upon the wonder of it all; everything working in harmony and peace; except mankind. How sad is that?

Crocus-pokus! An early sign of Spring to come!

Spring; wonderful Spring!

What better time of year is there than Spring? Spring life popping up all around; winter's grip relaxing its hold; longer, warmer days; and all the wonderful things of Spring that just seem to lift the spirit to new heights.

Watch for Spring signs:
To me, Spring begins as soon as days start getting a little longer, a little warmer, and there seems to be a fresh aroma filling the air; and certain birds reappear from their winter migration; and their Spring songs pierce the air with positive assurance and hope.

Crocuses poke through their winter bedding with their green shoots; testing the air before they dare expose their delicate blossoms; soon, very soon!

Spring details:
Actual Spring season begins around the 21st of March in the Northern Hemisphere; but hey, Spring really begins when it FEELS like Spring in the soul, in my book.

They say a man's fancy turns to love in Spring; and likely that's true enough. They also say that's what makes the world go around, so let's keep that going, shall we?! Spread the love!

Spring open the windows:
When Spring is in the air, there's no mistaking it. I think we have some innate magnetism to just want to breathe in that freshness; that healing and life-giving air of new beginnings that gives us renewed positive energy and strength to leap with joy!

Put Spring into your walk:
Spring air and new life and freshness all around can best be enjoyed on a brisk walk; around your own yard, or neighborhood, or trail, or wherever you like to walk.

As you walk, look around you and take special note of all the wonder and beauty bursting forth. Share in that positive energy and absorb its power to yourself. You will have a new bounce in your steps!

Spring flowers:
In our area, it's the crocuses that pop up first. Certainly each area is different; get to recognize those flowers in your area that 'stick their heads up' first. It is interesting and enlightening to pay attention to many of the processes in our natural surroundings; after all, it is those same processes which allow us to take new lessons, new strengths, new power, and new courage from all they represent.

And, Spring is that time when the newness of life is most prevalent, reminding us to keep on keeping on!

Tips & Warnings
• Make yourself a cool walking stick for those Spring walks!
• Pick bouquets of early Spring flowers to bring indoors as a reminder of new life and new beginnings!
• Take the time to "stop and smell the roses", as the saying goes; or whatever flowers bloom in Spring in your area!
• Spring enjoyment can be an addictive phenomenon; remember to keep up with other important commitments and responsibilities!
• Use caution while walking. If walking on the street, be careful of traffic; if walking in the woods, be aware of your footing and general surroundings, and take along a friend to chat with and to help one another, if that becomes necessary.
• Be careful not to get too close to poisonous or other dangerous plants.
