Spring planting is finished in the garden, but to have a rotating garden more seeds need to be started. Here is an eco-planting pot we use to put right in the ground and it is free. All you need is newspaper strips, soil, and clean, empty cans to sturdy them in.

Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • Scissors
  • Water
  • Seeds
  • Cans
  1. Step 1

Use a whole newspaper page, keep it folded in the middle. Tear it into three lengthwise strips.

  2. Step 2

Use a jar and wrap the newspaper around it leave a little overhanging.

  3. Step 3

Secure the side and fold in the bottom.

  4. Step 4

Lift the jar out of the newspaper.

  5. Step 5

Hold the empty newspaper cup upright.

  6. Step 6

    Fill halfway with potting soil.

  7. Step 7

These eco-pots do the same thing as store bought pots.
