Here are few tips how one can maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain healthy. These small steps can have a big impact on making your life better.

Everybody wishes to have a healthy body and a healthy mind. After all, health is wealth. I always found it hard to follow the difficult regimes offered by gym instructors. And I myself felt it very hard to maintain. I decided to devise a personal regimen that I would follow with honesty and I myself got surprised at the results. These simple tips would have helped me a lot.

1. A well balanced and nutritious diet is the key. I don’t recommend a crash diet, but reduction in the intake of calories is the sole purpose. By reducing the amount of food one takes during each meal is a better and sustainable idea. Suppose somebody takes 4 pieces of bread in his breakfast, he can start by reducing the intake to 3 or even 2 breads. But, I suggest not changing your diet drastically. Try to avoid those oily and spicy foods. Also, the fast food is harmful on the long term especially when taken on a regular basis.

2. The second most important thing is exercise. Exercise helps us in letting those accumulated harmful metabolic wastes through sweat and respiration. Our heart is the most benefited from routine exercise. One needs to give their body some work out to keep it working properly. We all know about the hazards of sedentary lifestyle, it includes all sorts of problems like coronary artery diseases and obesity. Make a routine and make sure you work out 15 minutes a day for five days a week. It has been proven that this much of exercise keeps your heart healthy.

3. We always ignore the mental aspect of the health. One surely needs a break from their busy personal life. This includes relieving the stress of modern and fast-moving life. Stress has been linked with a number of disease conditions starting from heart problems to diabetes and hypertension. Stress when not relieved progresses to depression and this again has bad effects on our health.

4. Many a times, another aspect of health is not given importance that is spiritual health. We all know how peaceful we feel when we go to a church, temple or a mosque. It is well known to bring peace to our lives and somewhat helps relieve stress too.

I would conclude the topic by one single message that our health is in our hands and we should take adequate measures to preserve it.
