How To Look Slimmer For Spring

Feb 13th, 2012 by HappyGoLucky

We have all enjoyed Christmas and New Years and all the food that goes with it and sometimes is accumulates lol… Here are a few tips to get us back to a brand new look for spring!

Spring is right around the corner and suddenly we are noticing a few bulges that we didn’t know that we had. We can think winter for that.

*Don’t wear baggy clothes. I have a habit of doing this but from what I have been reading, it only makes you look wider than you actually are and who wants that?

*I actually found that tucking my blouse into my skirt actually defined my waistline. I always thought that it would be the other way around.

* If you have boots with heels, wear them. Looking taller actually makes you look slimmer too. I am a sandal kind of girl, but I have to admit that wearing (even a small heel) will make you look better.

*I hate exercising, but it is a necessary evil and I try to break it up throughout the day. I honestly can’t manage a half hour a day all at once, but breaking the exercising into 5 or 10 minutes at a time is a lot easier and I can stay on track.

*Posture is also very important. I guess we stop standing up straight when our Mom’s stop telling us. So, I practice sitting up tall at the computer and I correct my posture when I’m walking. It’s amazing!

* Wear the proper bra and if you haven’t been fitted for one, book yourself an appointment. The staff will tell you pretty quickly what works and doesn’t work for you.

* When was the last time you had a haircut? Sometimes even a simple style change will make you feel and look slimmer too. And a little pampering at this time of year isn’t a bad idea either!

* When was the last time you bought yourself a new piece if clothing? If it’s been a few years, you might not even know what size you are. It might be a good idea to choose one size higher, one size smaller and one size that you think that you might be. And just in case you don’t know it, stores are always playing around with sizing so don’t fret if you suddenly find yourself wearing a larger size. It’s not necessarily true. The main point is to wear something that fits. It’s that simple and the item will feel more comfortable too!
