Open a new document. I've choosed 800x600 as a size. Select Elliptical marquee tool and draw a circle in the center of the document just like in the picture.Keep shifpt presed so the circle will be perfect and press space to be able to move the circle.

After that make a new layer (ctrl+shift+n) , fill the layer (Shift+F5) with a texture like earth.

this is the sett up that  i've used.

Select the layer and go to Filter -Disort-Spherize , put  100% and press ok just like in this picture.

Then apply those effects to the layer you've created (the earth)

You can now apply lens flare . On the background layer press right click select layer properties and press ok without editing something. (the layer will become a normal one, not a background one).

Select the layer and go to Filter- Render- Lens Flare, select 105 mm Prime and 80% just like in this picture.

You can also use Edit-Fill to fill the layer with a stars texture.

Just like in this pic

Ok now you are done, you should have a real planet now.

If you don't like it you can try to add more effects to make it look better.Just be creative and you will get an amazing rezult.

As i said you aren't forced to use my settings .Play with them so you can get some better results.

You never know what you can make :)

I hope you liked my tutorial.Thank you very much for reading it .
