TGI Friday's is known all over the world for its casual dining experience.

T.G.I. Friday's is considered one of the first American casual dining chains. It is part of the Carlson Companies.  It opened its doors to the publc in 1965 at First Avenue and 63rd Street in New York. The New York T.G.I. Friday's location enjoyed immediate and spectacular success. First year revenues amounted to $1 million.

The Upper East Side Manhattan restaurant became the meeting place for single adults. Newsweek and The Saturday Evening Post called the opening of T.G.I. Friday's restaurant as the dawn of the singles' age.

The is known for its trademark restaurant design appearance adorned with red-striped canopies, brass railings, Tiffany lamps and frequent use of antiques for decoration purposes. 

Today, there are more than 800 in 47 states and 55 countries. Richard Snead, president and CEO, revitalizes the T.G.I. Friday's brand by redesigning restaurant exteriors and famous interiors, changing music format, uniforms, and the creation of new menu layout and additional menu selections.

Its exterior restaurant designs also underwent transformations as Friday's no longer uses Tiffany lamps. In its stead, one can see red-and-white striped lamps. Wallpaper and granite exteriors are also noticeable. Entrance doors feature F-shaped door handles.

Friday's menu puts emphasis on alcoholic beverages.  It  even offer "Jack Daniel's Grill" in its menu which is made up of items with special Jack Daniel's sauce.

When it comes to its thosands of employees, Friday's® provide training to their employees to support and improve styles of service and more advertisements to improve the restaurant's presence. Friday's offers a wide selection of food and beverages by continuously developing its menu. Friday's has expanded outside the US. The chain maintains a presence in other countries.
