Employee Diversity at TGIF
TGIF knows that its human resource or the employees are instrumental to its success. That is why, it is doing its best to create a workplace that encourages employee diversity and fair treatment of employees.
Friday's brand mission statement deems that building the best relationships is of primary importance. To carry out this policy in their personnel and staffing methods, Friday's aims to achieve a more concerted effort at implementing a strategic approach to employee diversity. This way, they can achieve true representation of the communities that T.G.I. Friday's restaurants serve.
For instance, Carlson Restaurants created a position called Vice President of Diversity which is tasked mainly to look into the company's diversity status and develop a long-term strategy to start progress in that area. Friday's restaurants also formed a divisional Women's Forums to provide networking and mentoring to help the growing number of Friday's female restaurant managers.
It is T.G.I. Friday's aim to provide a great place for great people to do great work by encouraging an environment in which employees are provided with the opportunity to excel. From greeters to servers, barbacks to bussers, managers to executives, all employees are given a voice and the opportunity to initiate change.
