Whether you would like to make a gift for someone, or add decor to your home, these trees are beautiful, and fun to make! They are NOT limited to just Christmas.

Things You’ll Need:
  • 4 wire coat hangers
  • twist ties or craft wire
  • 30ft. of garland
  • 100 count miniature string lights( any color )
  • curling ribbon
  • scissors
  • mini ornaments
  • mini bows, or mini tree topper
  • mini pine cones
  • hot glue gun
  • hot glue sticks

Making Frame: Take 2 coat hangers, facing down. Hook the 2 hangers together in a triangle shape. Twist tie the hook part of the hanger the long side of the other hanger. Get 2 more hangers and repeat. Once you have 2 triangles, in a (t) pattern put the 2 together, and twist tie the top. You should have a slender, 3-d triangle shaped frame. You can hot glue your connections for more stability

.

Tree Formation: Starting with your string if lights, stretch them out. Make sure they work. With the last light, near the plug, twist tie and hot glue that light to the top of your frame with the plug hanging down the center. Keeping your rows fairly close, wrap the lights around the tree from top to bottom, being careful not to misshape your frame. Hot glue the string of lights around each turn. At the bottom, put a spot of glue underneath the last strand of lights to prevent the wire from slipping off the frame. Now for the Garland~ lay it out straight. Starting at the bottom of the frame, wrap the garland around, close layered( no gaps ): hot gluing EVERY corner. Once the frame is completely covered, trim off excess garland and glue. Plug in your tree and pull lights through the garland to even the lights.

Decoration: Start with your curling ribbon. Cut 2 long pieces of ribbon, and curl with scissors. Tie it in a knot evenly in a (t) shape around the top light.( One strand per side) Once satisfied, glue. Now put your mini bow or topper on. glue. Finally, hot glue your choice of ornaments evenly around the tree. Plug in and admire your work!

That's a really nice looking tree. And it's the perfect size for me. Since I am a bit of a scrooge, I could see myself just pulling that out of the closet every year as my sole Christmas decoration. Or maybe that and one electric candle to go in the window.
