This is a poem that I wrote and then decided to rewrite but this is the first copy that ended up in my book.

This poem was one that was in my book and if you enjoy this one you should purchase my book NOT JUST ANOTHER LOVE. My book is a book of love poetry and was meant to touch the heart. I have rewritten this poem and will make it available at a later date. I hope that you find what I found when I wrote this and hope that you appareciate my work. For six months of my life I spent it on a cloud and this is one of the poems that came about during that time. Writing is a great job for me and I hope that I can contine for many years and become one of the greats. I love read roses and that is one way I wrote this poem.

A friend called today

Saying she heard something

A friend said we were breaking up

But it was news

Because no one said anything

At last count we were fine

Things were going according to plan

We had made some plans

But our schedules stood in the way

She said that your friend said it

So hanging up with her

You call as soon as the other call

Has been disconnected

You ask if things are being said

You know instantly who is saying it

Without second thought

You explain that it's not true

But you have a phone call to make

Proclaiming your love and hanging up

That friend calls back

Asking if things are okay

Discussing when you arrive home

Letting that friend go

You have pink roses

They set you up

Is what you explain

So you have an excuse

To bring roses home
