Easily Catch Rare Pokemon

The time of day is key to catching all of the rare pokemon in the game. Go to your local PokeMart and buy 50 dusk balls. Most likely you will only need 30 but buy 50 to be on the safe side. Teach your strongest pokemon False Swipe (This leaves the pokemon's health at 1), put the pokemon to sleep, and start throwing pokeballs to complete your National Pokedex. The easiest option is to simply go buy a gameshark, but cheaters never prosper...

Dialga and Palkia

Defeat the Elite Four and unlock the National Pokedex. Go to Mt. Coronet through Heart home City, as if you were traveling to Sky Pillar. Go through about three caves, until you find a new entrance. Enter it to find orbs needed to battle Palkia and Dialga. Go to the top of Mt. Coronet to where Team Galactic was previously encountered. One of the two legendary Pokemon Dialga or Palkia will be there. Catch it, then leave and return to encounter the other one. The easiest way to catch one of theses pokemon is to wait until dark, put it to sleep and throw dusk balls at them. I did this and caught Dialga using only 25 balls.

Griseous Orb

Complete the game and return to Sendoff Spring. Cynthia will gone and you can enter the cave she was previously blocking. Enter Turnback Cave and go to the end to find an item and the entrance to the Distortion World. Go through the entrance to find the Griseous Orb. Give it to Giratina and it can stay in its original form outside Distortion World. Note: You can now catch Giratina in Turnback Cave if you did not kill it on your first encounter.
