Best Hamburger Recipe

This recipe not only produces great hamburgers but it is also money saving. If you love hamburgers, especially grilled, try this for the best of the best. Good luck with your hamburgers.

Best Hamburgers

  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slick of bread, pinched into very small bits
  • 2 teaspoons of BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cavender’s
  • salt and pepper

Best on grill.  This recipe saves on the amount of meat used for the hamburgers.  Mix and make into burgers.

Hamburger Casserole

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1 or 1/2 onion, chopped (brown with burger)
  • Mix items below
  • 9 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 cn. cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 ctn. sour cream

Mix all ingredients together and bake for 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.  Top with French Fried Onion Rings.  Bake 5 - 10 minutes longer,

Meat Loaf

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg

Combine ingredients and form into two small loaves.  Place in an 11x13-inch covered dish.  Pout sauce over loaves and bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.  Remove cover last 10 minutes of baking time.

Sauce

  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1 cup water

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.  Add to top of meat loaf.
