The past year has been a breakthrough year for skin care and skin care products starting in October of 2010 when a new  breakthrough technology was released by a skin care company called Rodan + Fields Dermatologists. The breakthrough? A micro-needle roller that retextures the skin, removing wrinkles, fine lines, and some scars while firming the skin. Called the Anti-Age Amp MD Delivery System, the micro-needle roller changed the face of beauty and was found to have unexpected uses (see: Unexpected Uses for Rodan + Fields AMP MD Micro-Needle Roller!). The new products for hands and lips that were introduced on October 1, 2011 from Rodan + Fields at this year's Rodan + Fields National Convention are equally revolutionary.

Proactiv

If you think you are not familiar with Rodan + Fields, chances are you know more about them than you think. Drs. Rodan and Fields created Proactiv Solution in the mid-1990s which quickly revolutionized acne treatment with multi-med therapy. A decade or so later, Rodan + Fields introduce a new high-end medicated skin care regimen through Estee Lauder into fine department stores like Macy's where the Rodan + Fields line quickly began to outsell its competition.

Rodan + Fields Lip Renewing Serum

The new Rodan + Fields Lip Renewing Serum is designed to work with the Anti-Age Amp MD Delivery System which was introduced last year. The roller is run over the lips which creates micro-channels and stimulates collagen. Then the Lip Renewing Serum is applied, where it is absorbed quickly into the lips thanks to the micro-channels created by the AMP MD micro-needle roller, where peptides (Palmitoyl Oligopeptide) signal new collagen to help smooth lip wrinkles and make lips naturally plumper, fuller and rosier. The roller is gently run over the lips where tiny micro-channels are opened. These tiny openings allow the serum to be absorbed past the skin's protective barrier and they also signal the lips to produce more collagen, so the plumbing begins before the serum is even applied. Next, the serum infuses the lips with peptides, antioxidants, moisturizers and vitamins to restore fullness, definition and color to the lips.

Rodan + Fields Anti-Age Hand Treatment Regimen

The other new regimen from the 2011 Rodan + Fields National Convention is the Rodan + Fields Anti-Age Hand Treatment Regimen which was featured in More Magazine the end of September, but the full product details of Hand Treatment Regimen were not revealed until they were announced on Skin, Health, Beauty on Sept. 23, 2011. Hands are out in the sun almost every day and begin to show show some signs of age as early as the 20s: uneven skin tone, dryness, brown spots, loss of texture and firmness, fine lines, etc.  As reported in New Skin Care Products Unveiled at Rodan + Fields National Convention, the new Rodan + Fields Anti-Age Hand Treatment Regimen comes with 2 multi-med products: a hydrating cream to nourish and moisturize the skin and to brighten and even skin tone, as well as an SPF 30 sunscreen specially formulated to protect hands from  further damage.
