Who wants to pay $30 to $60 on manicures and pedicures nowadays, when there are so many people struggling to make ends meet? For the past 4 years, I have been giving myself and others french manicures & pedicures for extremely cheap! It's so easy and saves me so much money!

Go to Wal-Mart or a grocery store like Kroger.  Buy one clear polish (a plain clear or a "top coat" will work).  Also, buy one white-colored nail polish.  I know at nail salons they use a pinkish, "flesh" colored polish to finish off the look, but I have found that it is not necessary. Without the pink color, the white color on the tip of the nail will shine and "pop" even more!

Wal-Mart has french manicure & pedicure "sets" that you can purchase for around $5 or $6. These sets contain the white & pink colors, and sometimes even all 3 colors: white, pink, and clear. These sets usually last me around 5 months or so and they do the job very nicely. It will not take long for you to become good enough to do your own manicure or pedicure. You do not have to be a skilled manicurist to get a great-looking manicure! If you feel you need practice, then I suggest you practice on anyone who will let you: mothers, sisters, friends, sisters-in-law, mothers-in-law, or anyone else who will let you. You'll be great with just a little bit of practice, and if you do make a few little mistakes, no one will notice! I began doing my own french manicures & pedicures, then began doing them for my mother, then personally did them for my bridesmaids the night before my wedding. Whenever I do a french pedicure for my mother, she always gets compliments at work from her female co-workers, wanting to know which salon she went to. When she tells them "my daughter did it for me!" her coworkers are amazed. But they need not be so surprised. French manicures and pedicures are something that every woman can learn how to do for themselves and others, for a very small price, even on the tightest budget. Try it soon and reap the benefits of all that saved money!
