Easy Beef Stew

A truly delicious and easy beef stew recipe. By following these directions anyone can make great stew.

Easy Beef Stew

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 large (14x20) oven cooking bag
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Italian style tomatoes
  • 1 envelope onion soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 lbs. beef for stew
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 4 large potatoes

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Shake flour in oven bag; place in large rectangular pan.  Add tomatoes, soup mix , and pepper.  Squeeze bag to blend ingredients.  Cut carrots into 2 inch pieces and quarter potatoes.  Add beef, carrots and potatoes to bag.  Turn bag to coat ingredients with sauce.  Arrange ingredients in even layer.  Close bag with nylon tie; cut 6 half inch slits in top of bag.  Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is tender.

Cajun Pork Roast

  • 2 lbs. boneless pork loin roast
  • 3 Tablespoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon crushed garlic
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Combine spices and garlic and rub into roast.  Roast meat in pan at 350 degrees until temperature is 155-170 degrees.  Remove and slice.
