With spring coming it's always a need for a fresher you, for a new wardrobe of more colorful clothes and some new fun attires.

You know how you get tired of having to wear your heavy clothes for so many months in winter?

I am always ready for a sprint for cleaning or organizing my closets when spring comes!

It's a fun task, and you get more new ideas of what you want to keep and what you want to change in your wardrobe!

Get organized and know what You’ll Need:

  • plan the time
  • get extra hangers
  • a plan to dispose of those items you didn't wear for a while
  • garbage bags

Got the alarm clock on for this project?

Start by emptying your closet off the heavy winter clothes. You will feel some relief right away. Once you have the empty closet space you should know what to do next.
Dust and clean a little bit the area.

Sort out those items you don't want to wear again or they don't fit anymore or they are not in style.

Make a pile for "donations," - place them in those bags so they are easy to carry out; the "wash and save" pile should be quickly placed in the laundry room;
the "dry clean" you want to make sure you'll take them in very soon;
and one other pile might be to place in a different closet or aside from the easy reach.

Once you separated them by groups you could decide what gets back in the closet.

Start organizing according to your needs.

An easy way to grab an outfit quickly in the morning is pairing blouses and skirt by color or by sets, - whatever makes more sense to you.

Organize your tops on shelves by folding them neat and do not just shovel them in like a mad man.

If you keep them like that it will be easy to find what you need and you will never be late for work or a date! Step5 Shoes! I love shoes,....
well, those are part of your closet too.

Make sure they are always in order and easy to grab, by pairs,...
Sandals should be on top racks and the heavier ones should get on the bottom shelf; - for a look reason as well as a functional one.

  • make sure the "donate" pile has decent looking clothes that are still is good shape (no holes or stains) and know the destination you will take them to.
  • My rule of thumb is - if I didn't wear one outfit for one season, that needs to go. It's doing nothing for me just sitting and taking space in my closet.
  • Add extra time for this project to finish it in one day, otherwise you will have it postpone and never finish, it's a fact!
