Horse treats are a yummy way to reward your equine friend. These tasty treats are not only inexpensive to make, but they are also easy and will be sure to have your horse begging for more. Follow these simple directions and you will have horse treats that are sure to be a winner!

Things You’ll Need:
  • 1 and 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 and 1/2 cups water
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs molasses
  • powdered sugar
  • cinnamon
  • mixing bowl

Get out a mixing bowl. Mix the flour, sugar, oatmeal, water, vanilla extract, molasses and carrots together. Stir until well blended.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Roll your dough into balls of whatever size you desire. Take dough balls and gently roll them in the powdered sugar until they are covered. Sprinkle the dough balls lightly with cinnamon. Bake your treats at 350 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Take out of oven and let cool. Serve to your favorite horse or horses! Make enough treats to fill a container and leave it out at the barn so you will have plenty of treats on hand.
