Ideas For Wedding Shower Gifts

The time is here for bridal showers, what are some practical ideas for bridal gifts.

Spring has sprung and for many women we know that that also means, bridal showers, and soon weddings. Going to a friend's bridal shower is a special occasion and means a lot to both of you. You want to get her a gift that would mean something, and be practical. Many people tend to stick to the registry and get things that the couple would need or want for their new life together. Some of us may feel that just going to a list and picking out something may seem a little impersonal, so we try to rack our brains for something that would be more meaningful and show we that we really care for our friend. One thing you do not want to do is get them something you know they will not use. I have seen a bride get a picnic set, and she is not the type of woman who would go on a picnic and use what she was given.

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.

One good idea is to get your friend household items. You can get a basket of any size and fill it with cooking utensils, towels, pot holders, jar grippers, other things that you can think of that she could use in the kitchen or even things she could use around the house like frames for pictures, candle holders and some candles. One idea I have seen and the bride loved was a cleaning bucket that was filled with all kinds of cleaning products like Pinesol, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, paper towels, and other things that this person tried out and knew cleaned well and thought enough to help the bride know which products could help her get her home clean the way she wanted.

You can also get her bath towels and those little poof things that she can use, or other things that she can use to decorate her bathroom. Another cute idea is to create a smaller basket of bath products the bride can use to relax and pamper herself. Or you can get things the bride can use to decorate the bedroom with, bedsheets are the common gift people give at bridal showers. But you can also give her a small lamp or again some frames or pictures she can hang on the wall.

One idea I have is getting together many recipes from online, family or my own and create a little recipe box. Decorate it however you want or how you think your friend will have her kitchen, and use cute little recipe cards for the recipes you have included. Use deserts, entrees, appetizers, drinks if you want: anything you think she would enjoy cooking. I think that adds a personal touch of both you and your friend. It is definitely a different idea and would make the bride happy and joyful.

THINK OF THE GROOM

Many times people think of getting things for the bride. One idea you can do is get household items the groom would enjoy. If he is a car person, you can add in a few things that he could use on his car like wax, cleaner, wipes to wipe off the car, little car stones to make it smell good. If he likes a drink now and then you can get him a mixer and some mixes that he could enjoy. I think showing that you were thinking of the groom helps with bridal showers because the wedding obviously isn't always about the groom.

I have seen people get the groom tools and things that he can use to fix small house hold issues or tools he can use for the computer. I have gotten the groom ashtray since he smoked and small things he could use on his car or around the house. I have also seen someone bring a car buffer as a gift at a bridal shower for the groom. Thinking of the groom shows that you aren't there just for the bride and that of course the marriage is a partnerships and includes them both.

PICTURES

This could be a really cool idea. If you live around nature or other photography opportunities you can go out and take pictures, get them blown up to different sizes and frame them so that the couple can have one of a kind wall art at basically no cost to them. A great idea is go into nature take a few great shots of streams, rivers (if you live near amazing looking ones) and trees or even of sunsets, then alter the coloration to black and white and then frame them in black frames for an elegant look. I think having something special and unique on the walls makes a house look different and the idea of you going out to take the pictures, resize them and stuff, shows effort and that you care.

Some people I know have done paintings with little romantic quotes on the top or the bottom about love and being together. I think making something yourself makes the gift all the more special, and it is something they would want to display in their home. A hand painted image could even be a conversation starter when they have company over. A personal painting is just that, personal and I think it would make a great gift for a couple getting married.

Bridal showers can be hard to shop for as are the weddings, you want to get something the wedding couple would enjoy, but you don't want to be too generic. These are some great ideas for gifts that are practical, unique and the wedding couple would sure to love. It can be hard to find the perfect gift for a couple getting married, but I hope these ideas have helped.

A great, and unusual wedding present is an Eco-friendly, and oh so kind to your behind hand held bathroom bidet sprayer from http://www.bathroomsprayers.com . It almost eliminates the need for toilet paper so you are saving them money, offers vastly superior cleaning, convenience and in addition has many health benefits. Comes in a kit that can be installed without a plumber.
