Important questions

Funding?

Funding: There are two viable options in my eyes (I have beautiful eyes, but that's irrelevant). Well, two realistic, viable options. Yes, we're going to go ahead and rule out you're precious "rob a bank with a nail file" suggestion.

1. Recieve funding from advocates for the cause. These people could be from the atheist intellectual movement, opinionated wealth, or celebrities of your choosing. Your best bet of these three would innevitabely wealthy people out of the spotlight of fame. You would hate to have you world changing mind baby killed by some prissy celebrities fear of the God loving media.

2. And here's a little reality to smack you in the face, also the best funding option in my mind. Work. Ouch, right? Build yourself up in the money making field of your choice. Sure, you'll spend 10's of years doing mindless tasks and selfish deads, but keep your dream in the back of your mind and you'll make it.

What's the best way to advocate for needed changes - through aggressive attacks on religion or milder persuasion?

“Mild persuasion” on a mass scale.  All actions abiding by the agreed upon regulations and, of course, the nation’s given laws (constitutional or other).  Speeches should be covered by respected media outlets but not advertised to “destroy religion” but rather educate the public  on what is scientifically known about the origin of the universe, man, and the evolutionary explanations for man’s feelings and actions.  The movement should hope only to raise a questioning among the religious extremes (this is vastly different in each area) and not a full realization or acceptance.  While an overly aggressive movement will make a larger splash, it will be viewed negatively in media, and conversly, in the population you’re trying to attract.

Religious Superstition is clearly REAL and what this satirical little series is aimed at. To suggest that this is directed at a God, who I obviously think is fictitious, is ridiculous.
And no, I do not feel guilty about my lack of ignorance. It would be ludicrous for me to suggest I know what is truly “right” but I think it has been made clear at this point what is not.  The most terrible crime in history, one in which continues to hold back society today, is religion’s insistence that we have all of the answers.

Thank you for your response. I see that you’re already a respected member of the site, congratulations.  I do hope you’ll tune in for lesson 2 ;)

Score: -1 You have voted for this comment already. You have voted for this comment already.

Why would you spend so much time, money and effort to try to get rid of something that you believe is not real? It looks more to me like guilt. You know what is right, but you refuse to submit and you don’t want to be reminded of it…just an observation.
