Get A Job in Any Economy
Getting a job in a recession and a growing economy requires both time and effort. Although there may be more applicants during a recession you must put your best foot forward at all times.
Upon determining you need to job or paid work in order to maintain your family bills. Begin networking with your close groups. This would be your family, friends, and affiliates. If you advise the Church to openly pray for you because you have lost your job. There may be someone in the congregation that can give you a temporary job or provide job leads.
Using the internet; apply for a minimum of 5 jobs per day. Strive to find new job sites. Employees are hiring. They need the best candidates whom are flexible. You may need to be flexible in working on the weekends or nights until you get another job. Attend the local church or group hosing job seeker educational sessions. This is a great place to network. Give out your business cards. If you have them from your last job, write your current number on the back so they can remember your expertise. Find Businesses in your City - The Chamber of commerce is a great place to go to get information on jobs and upcoming events. There are many places hiring but they do not advertise in the newspaper. Local coffee shops and "home town" shops will have information. As they usually know what going on in the town. Volunteer - Actively volunteer for organizations in your community. This will allow for you to serve others while getting your life back in order. When you help others you will have a sense of accomplishment. God wonderful, the more you give away to others the more you will get in return.
