Mama Mia! Former Miss California Carrie Prejean Boller Now a Wife & Mother

Former Miss California beauty queen Carrie Prejean and husband, Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller, are now  married and parents. The happy couple gave birth to a bouncing eight-pound baby girl, according to San Diego Union Tribune reports. Unlike all the fanfare, ridicule and gossip surrounding her statements regarding gay marriage at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant, the couple welcomed their first child quietly on May 11, 2011.

Earlier reports on several gossip websites had speculated that Carrie Prejean would give birth to a baby boy, and the stork was expected to deliver on Carrie's grandmother's May 9 birthday. However, arriving fashionably late like any princess would, the beauty queen's daughter Grace Christina Boller made her entrance two days before Prejean's 24th birthday instead.

Marriage & Marriage Views

Carrie Prejean and Kyle Boller were married on July 2, 2010 in a very private ceremony at the Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego. The wedding followed a turbulent year for Prejean. In 2009 Carrie Prejean, a Christian model, won the Miss California title, then had it stripped away following the Miss USA pageant when gay-rights judge Perez Hilton asked her if she supported gay marriage. Prejean, then 21 replied, "I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be, between a man and a woman." Her opinion angered gay rights proponents, including pageant organizer and gay rights activist, Keith Lewis.

Lawsuits, Nude Photos & Scandal

From that point on, liberal groups attacked the young beauty queen and her family, and the Miss California organization filed a lawsuit against her for for allegedly failing to perform her duties. Photos of a scantily clad teen Prejean surfaced, followed by some where she had a wardrobe malfunction during a photo shoot. Then a tape (or tapes) of her allegedly surfaced reportedly showing activity of a somewhat sexual nature. Between the tapes and various lawsuits, Donald Trump gave Keith Lewis permission to remove Prejean's crown.

Motherhood & Maturity

Since then things apparently quieted down for Carrie Prejean Boller as she went through her pregnancy and the birth of her first child. Perhaps reaching her mid twenties and becoming a mother will help Carrie Prejean Boller to find the maturity and wisdom to deepen her faith and her Christian walk.
