Everyone of us experienced those annoying phone calls around dinner time, lunch time or the Anytime; Lately there are some options there where you can choose "opt out" from telemarketers list or the "do not call list." The worst is yet for the small businesses, or the ones run from home that can not choose any of these options.


Everyone of us experienced those annoying phone calls around dinner time, lunch time or the Anytime; those unwanted, uninvited telemarketer calls.

Lately there are some options there where you can choose "opt out" from telemarketers list or the "do not call list."

The worst is yet for the small businesses, or the ones run from home that can not choose any of these options.

Then you will be missing on the real customers calling for the first time.

Things You’ll Need to consider:
  • take that one extra minute on the phone
  • make the right decision
  • be patient and follow instructions


The phone rings and you answer as the usual, nicely and politely just to find out that you talk to an automation system. The frustration escalates.

Once you determine is a recorded message waiting for a voice activation - DO NOT HANG UP! Because the calls will never stop or decrease in frequency.

Calm down and listen for at least 30 seconds; you will be able to determine that is not a live person and just know what to do.

You will hear a voice announcing the greatest deals ever they found for you,...and all that nine yard story...

Then Press 2; a voice will say - "your number has been removed from our call list";
sometimes it's just a click - and honestly, I hope that is same as saying that your number was removed.

If they announce that your selection was not a good option PRESS 9 (most of the time these will be the 2 best choices)

Slowly your office will become that quiet room and you can concentrate on your work! YEAH!...
