The more steps we take to address this the more our body will remain immune to heart disease and other ailments. Here are 5 steps to how to reduce cholesterol.

STEP 1 - EXERCISE

The first step is to start a new exercise program, try and create the program to a cardiovascular workout, this will be giving your heart and your body the opportunity to remove any fat and plaque that may eventually cause heart diseases. STEP 2 - REDUCE FATS

Eliminate all fats from your diet, this will eventually be deposited in your heart and your arteries which will lead to inevitable blockages. When shopping aways go for lean clean meat, avoid products with high fat content and take supplements such as Garlic extracts and Aspirin which have been proven to control heart disease and cholesterol. You should not feel that your enjoyment of food will go, low fat meals are equally as tasty as the full fat meals.

Excess sugar in the blood can contribute to diabetes which can speeden the effects of cholesterol and heart disease, take action to reduce all sugar from your diet, switch to brown or a artificial sweetener which is equally as effective as refined sugar. By eliminating all sugar from your diet you will look and feel much more healthier, you should have a more sustained energy level and you will have a more positive outlook to life as you are taking positive steps.

STEP 4 - INCREASE GOOD CHOLESTEROL

There are two types of cholesterol, bad cholesterol and good cholesterol, by reducing all the bad cholesterol in you diet and increasing the good cholesterol you stand a better chance of fighting off heart disease. Make sure you include salmon and other oily fish in your diet as these can significantly reduce bad cholesterol as the good cholesterol takeover in your body, your skin and general health should also improve considerably.

There are many Yoghurts out there such as Benecol and Flora Pro Active which claim to reduce your cholesterol levels. These products have been scientifically proven to help reduce cholesterol, include these into your diet and exchange it with other harmful foods. There are other products such as Margerine from Benecol and Flora that also claim to do the same, it is prudent to utilise these products too.
