Weekend Away

This is a poem about a weekend get away. The place that we stayed was less than perfect, but that is one thing that made it so special.

Our weekend getaway was less than perfect, but in my mind it still makes me smile. The shower curtain was half off the rail and the faucet in the sink was turned backwards. The wood for the fire place was very wet and it seemd to take forever for a city guy to get the thing lit. Fun times, and memorable ones too! This is the poem I wrote about our trip to the mountains.

The crackling of the fire,

even though the wood it was wet..

the sound of the babbling brook,

in the back ground had the mood set.

The small shower made for one but we made two fit,

was so perfect in each little bit.

The soap dish that falls off the wall is ever so quaint,

the faucet that points inwards,

where the water should be it aint.

The couch we made love on, the bed also twice,

but oh my apartment is ever so nice.

Your soft gentle kisses from my head to my toes,

the look that you give me makes me feel all a glow.

The love making sessions are compared to no other,

you take me to places and I am all in a flutter.

The bunny was hungry but now it is fed,

the carrot may sleep now until our next bed.

I lay here in waiting for you once again,

as my heart is all tied up with you in my head.

So until our next meeting , and until our next bed,

please be safe for me my love and I am northward you said.
