I, Robot, (the movie) starring Will Smith and Bridgette Moynahan, is set in the year 2035 and the planet has new assistants. These new helpers of the millennium are robots. The automatons are programmed with only three rules.  In the movie, I Robot, They cannot, through inaction or direct action, allow a human to be harmed, do whatever they are instructed to do by a human as long as it does not conflict with the first law, and lastly, they must defend themselves as long as rules one and two are not conflicted.

In the movie, Irobot, When the creator of the robot laws decides to take the short cut from the tenth floor to the first floor by way of the window, Detective Del Spooner (played in the movie by the actor, Will Smith) realizes that something is out of kilter with the automatons. His disdain for the robots is apparent and sets the stage perfectly for the plentiful one-liners for which Smith is known.

Bridgette Moynahan, portrays her character of Dr. Susan Spooner extremely well. She is apparent that she is the complete opposite for her feelings on the robots and prefers them to humans. This relationship brings much rhetoric and humor. The action is a good balance and over all the movie is excellent for the family. This is a movie that you are sure to enjoy. Irobot is really worth seeing as a good movie.

I went to the movies when this film came out and liked it but then started to wonder if the world would really be like this one day and how that would play out. Will Smith did a good job playing the role of that paranoid police detective.
